What data does Nokka collect

Nokka stores the following data, which you yourself enter in the app:

Apple Health

Nokka Pro can read selected fitness values from Apple Health: steps, walking and running distance, cycling distance, swimming distance, exercise minutes, workout count and active energy. Access is optional, read-only and explicitly granted for each counter. Nokka does not read heart rate, medical data or workout routes.

Raw Health data stays on your device. Only the calculated daily total is stored as your counter entry locally or in your personal iCloud/shared crew area. The app developers cannot access these values.

Where the data is stored

Exclusively in your personal iCloud account. Nokka uses CloudKit, Apple's own cloud platform. The data:

If you have iCloud disabled, the data is stored locally on your device only.

Location + Weather

The app can (with your consent) use your location to display current weather data. Weather data comes from Open-Meteo. The request transmits the geo coordinate of the location or event — no personally identifiable data.

What is not collected

Nokka does not collect:

There are no third-party SDKs (no Firebase, no Sentry, etc.).

Sign in with Apple

Nokka does not use Sign in with Apple for login. Authentication runs transparently through your iCloud account.

Push notifications

Nokka sends local notifications only (e.g. event and bet reminders). There is no push server; all notifications are generated on your device. You can disable them in iOS Settings or in the app.

In-App Purchases (Nokka Pro)

Nokka offers an optional Nokka Pro subscription (monthly or yearly) that unlocks multiple groups and additional features. Purchases and billing run exclusively through Apple's StoreKit — Apple is the contractual party, not Nokka. We see no payment data (no credit card, no address, no Apple ID email), only the entitlement status (Pro active: yes/no). You can cancel or change subscriptions at any time via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
